Weekend Glitter! Elf Mineral Eyeshadow in Wild

It's Friday already!
Jazz up this weekend with a bit of glitter on your eyes!
Elf's Mineral Eyeshadow in the shade Wild.

It is a dark brown shade with a mixture different coloured shimmer. The shimmer is mostly golden but it has traces of red, purple and green too. But it's not too visible.

It can be used on the entire lid by itself for a dramatic look or you could use it as a crease colour.

The packaging is a nice size with a matte black lid and the inside portion has pores through which the pigment comes out. It can be a bit messy if not stored properly.

The pigmentation on this is great! The eyeshadow is prices at $3 which is around Rs.150-175.
I use an eyeshadow base or a cream eyeshadow before applying this so that it can stick to the lids properly.
I do get fallouts from this all over my face , but this happens with all the loose pigments.

It can be worn with alot of colours and is not restricted to neutrals.
It is a very finely milled pigment and the application of is easy making it easy to blend.
It does fade out after 4-5 hours, but you can't ask for more at this price!

Pros:
  • suitable for various skintones
  • blendable
  • easy application
  • can be used wet
  • nice packaging
  • nice shimmer
  • not expensive
  • good pigmentation

Cons:
  • not available in India
  • can be messy because it is a loose pigment
I would definitly recommend this to everyone looking for a brown shade with shimmer!
It's great for a shimmery smokey look.

Review: Maybelline Hooked On Pink Lipstick

Yesterday I bought the Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Hooked On Pink.
I know I'm late on this one but as they say, it's better late than never!

I was actually looking for the new Maybelline SuperStay 14 hour lipstick but couldn't find a shade that I liked. They had pretty red ones but I was looking for a more natural one.

So I started looking at other lipsticks they had and saw the Hooked On Pink Lipstick. I had heard a lot about it on YouTube and knew people liked it a lot so wanted to see what the hype was all about.

IT is a nice magenta kind of a pink, but not too dark. It is a little cool toned but goes well even with warm skin-tones.It is not too harsh.

It is priced at Rs.350 (available at Beauty Centre for Rs.315 after a 10% discount)

The packaging is plain and simple and I just love the sound when you open and close the lid (I'm weird that way :P )

The texture of the lipstick is nice and creamy. You only need coat to get an opaque colour, but even if you layer it on, it won't be too heavy on your lips.

The smell of the lipstick is nice and sweet , not too strong.

I wear this lipstick on its own on top of a lipbalm. After applying one coat I smudge it with my fingers to make it look natural.

It is not too drying in your lips and stays on for around 3-4 hours.

pros:
  • nice sturdy packaging
  • nice creamy texture
  • not drying on the lips
  • nice smell
  • not too expensive
  • nice colour range
  • easily available
  • good pop of pink (a bit bright but nothing over the top!)

cons:

 No cons!

I would totally recommend it to anyone!

Make up Tip: Brown Liner

No Indian Make Up is complete without a black eyeliner!

IT helps to emphasis your eyes and give it some definition.
But sometimes the black eyeliner can be a bit harsh for daily use and may look over the top.
For a natural and a subtle look opt for a brown liner.

You can use a light brown or a dark brown liner, according to your skintone.

Dark brown looks better on a medium skintone.

You can apply it on the lower lashline or the upper lash line. I personally prefer applying brown eyeliner on the upper lashline with an eyeliner pencil.

Try out the brown liner and let me know how it goes!

Review: Maybelline Falsies Mascara

Hope everyone's doing fine today!

This is my second post of the day and I will be reviewing the Maybelline Falsies Mascara.

I bought this mascara a few weeks back and it is my most used mascara!

The wand is a bit curved making it easy to reach all the eyelashes. It does not go on very thick, giving the eyelashes a very natural look. One coat of this mascara will give you long lashes with a natural look.
You can layer it which will give you a more dramatic look for the evening , making it look like you have fake lashes on. The mascara lives up to its name- The Falsies!

I generally put on only one layer of this mascara on a daily basis.
The lasting power of this mascara is great! It lasts almost 8-10 hours on me.

The packaging of this mascara is nice and sturdy.

I am extremely happy with this mascara and would recommend it to everyone lokoing for a lengthening mascara.

Make Up Wishlist: Clinique Even Better Make Up

I have been meaning to buy a new foundation since a long time now.
But as usual cannot decide which one to get, which one to choose from so many foundations available!

My current foundation is the Revlon ColorStay in the shade Toast

It works well for me but its time I try out a new one!

I couldn't decide if I wanted a Mac Foundation or a Clinique one or an Estee Lauder foundation!

But finally I shortlisted the Mac Face & Body Foundation and the Clinique  Even Better Make Up SPF 15 foundation.

As of now both the foundations are on my wishlist, but if I ever buy any, I will go for the Clinique one before the Mac one!

So as of now the Mac Blending Brush - 217 and the Clinique Foundation are on my wishlist!

Will let you know when I get it! (Hope it's soon!)

Let me know which make up product is on your wishlist!

Brighten up your Mondays!

Hope everyone had an amazing weekend!

It can be a bit difficult to get back to your routine on Mondays!

But if you just use a bit of blush and lipgloss, it can brighten up your face and make you feel like going out!

I myself am not a morning person but these two simple steps make me feel a bit more presentable and ready for work!

Just a bit sunblock, blush and lipgloss and I'm good to go!

I use my vega small stippling brush for blush
My most often used bush would be the powder blushes in Spice and Dusty Rose by Nyx

Product Review: Clinique Pink Spice Lipstick

Hi, how are you guys doing today?!

I'm here to review my favourite lipstick I own - Clinique's Lipstick in Pink Spice

It is the perfect pink for medium to medium dark skin tones

It is slightly shimmery and a bit frosted. But it is not too overwhelming, making it a natural looking pink.

The lipstick feels great on the lips and is not drying at all.

The lasting power is pretty decent, averaging between 2-3 hours.

It does not have any taste and is fragrance free, which is always a good thing!

I would definitely repurchase it!
